Message:
I've just been asked to assume paralegal duties for one of the attorneys I work for, who does utility rate case work.  Does anyone out there do this kind of work who could give me some idea of what I should be doing?  Right now I am organizing the pre-filed testimony and exhibits and drafting simple intervention letters, but he wants me to come up ideas for other things I could do and thereby bill more time.

Hi,

Can anyone help me to know how to file different types of paper documents such as original documents, proposals (which submitted as spiral binded books), agreements and communications to and from subcontractors etc..

Also, please suggest me any good reading materials/books available to deal with different types of paper filing methods.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Firoz

Message:

As a fellow paralegal, I wanted to let you know that you can earn your Paralegal Certification because of your higher education and years of work experience (no exam necessary).  In September 2009, I received my American Alliance Certified Paralegal (AACP).  If you are interested and want to learn more, the website is http://www.aapipara.org/Certification.htm.  Since there was no "Paralegal" eGroup, I created one.  Feel free to pass this information along to those you feel would be interested.
